Making Sausage

About The Project

This book cover design project is based on how North American culture is a melting pot with many different races and ethnicities. The author Maryanne Datesman was writing this book as a guide for immigrants and refugees to better understand the different cultures that reside in the United States. The design plays on the title of the book 'Making Sausage' which features many different sausages wearing cultural clothing from other countries. With respect to some cultures' perception of specific animals, some sausages are different colors representing different meats and plant-based proteins. For further indication, the package informs the viewers that the meats are a variety pack of beef, pork, chicken, and tofu sausages.
